Day 1 – August 29, 2019.
Parking Brake Off at 7:05 AM MST. Arrived San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Mexico 11:30 AM PDT.
Uneventful ride down to San Luis. Just a hot morning. The temp down here is 114º F. All checked in. Banquet tonight @ 5:30 PM then we start the ride north at 3:30 AM tomorrow.

Day 2 – August 30, 2019.
Parking Brake Off at 3:10 AM PDT. Arrived Cedar City, UT 3:30 PM MDT.
A long hot day mainly due to an 8 – 10 mile backup on I-15 due to road construction. We just plain crawled along. The ambient temperature display on my bike hit 123º F at one point. The cell phone overheated and shut down so we lost a lot of GPS tracking on the web page. We did make it to the Checkpoint site so all is well. Pictures have been updated. Yes, I am standing in a “Beer Cave”. It is a large walk-in cooler for beer storage at a Love’s Service station. I went in just to cool off. Stayed in for 5 wonderful minutes.

Another long hot day. Uneventful, so that was good.

Vernon, BC, Canada.
Just kinda did nothing today until the banquet started around 4:45 PM. Great food, good conversation. A fun relaxing day.

Day 7 – September 4, 2019.
Parking Brake Off at 6:505 AM PDT. Arrived La Grande, OR 6:06 PM PDT.
Pleasant ryde down into the States. Yes, they actually let me come back in. One heck of a lot of fruit orchards in BC coming down 97. Apples, grapes, peaches, plums, nectarines, a variety of grapes as well. Fruit stands every 100 feet along the highway.

Warm and then hot ryde today. Stomach cramps and diarrhea kept me stopping at a lot of rest areas most of the day.
I was very happy to get to the motel tonight. Getting up early tomorrow to beat the heat.

Another hot day today with some rain thrown just to tease me. Stomach cramps and diarrhea continue to plague me.
I was very happy to get to the motel this afternoon. Once again I will be getting up early tomorrow to beat the heat. What time will depend on the PHX forecast? As of now, no rain is expected tomorrow. Approximately 270 miles to go.
Riding through Salt Lake City has always been and still is a ZOO. Absolutely a gorgeous ryde down US89 from Kanab, UT.

What else can I say? Hot, hot, and more hot with a sprinkle of rain thrown in.
I did have a flat right-front tire as I rolled into Flagstaff. Luckily I was 5 minutes from Discount Tire instead of between Paige and Flag (re middle of nowhere).
They did not find anything wrong. Replaced the valve stem and retested. Still nothing. Checked the pressure on all three tires and then said: “Have a nice day.”
Didn’t charge me a penny. Thanks, Discount Tires.
